I'm going to go to my second floor plan. Let me zoom out. I'm going to double click into here.
I'm going to go Annotate, Tag All, Mechanical Equipment. Make sure I have a leader. I hit Apply.
Hit OK. Now again, you're going to want to go through and start to adjust those. So go ahead and work your way around and adjust your VAV tags or other mechanical equipment tags as they show up.
Just one of these things you got to kind of work through. And again, I'm just working my way around the model, getting these tags squared away. Again, if you see any other tags that may need some adjustment, you can see I see my rooftop unit here, so it is tagging.
It looks like my B tags here did not get adjusted very well. That's fine. I'm just going to go ahead and adjust them as I see them.
VAV, make sure you get the VAV tag. And you can use the adjacent tags to kind of go ahead and line up. But it's all a balancing act to make sure that these items are readable and that they're good to go.
Just keep working your way around. There we go. Let's see this 10 inch.
I'm going to move this to the other side because it's in the way there. It's a VAV tag. And there we go.
Great. We've tied those. Let's go to our roof plan.
And I can go ahead and actually just use this and tag the individual elements. So I'm just going to jump into this view, TGHU2. I don't want to add remove host here.
These are all going to tag individually. And some instances, I may need to have a leader. So I've selected leader.
There we go. I'm going to go ahead and make sure I have a leader. And I'm going to make this leader just a little bit longer because I have a little more space up here.
There we go. There we go. I need to adjust this view a little bit.
I'm going to change my roof plan. I'm going to change the view template on my roof plan so I can see all the way down. So I need to change my view range so I can see those items.
I'm going to change the bottom to unlimited and this to unlimited. And let's see here. I want to go ahead, discipline.
If I change this to coordination, it turns it into that. But we want this to be, there we go. Oops, it decided to undo everything.
Let me get out of the view. Let me get back into the view. There's my identity data.
So let's adjust our view range a little bit. So I'm going to see level below, level below, apply. Okay.
Let's see there. I don't necessarily want to see this. And this is one of the, some of the things that happens with the different views.
If I have this as a HVAC view, it wants to show it that the discipline is mechanical, show hidden lines. So I'm going to change this to a coordination, apply, and that's going to kind of change my look and feel here. I'm going to go ahead and tag this guy, tag this guy, and move these tags around.
There we go. Great. We may want to take a look at this and this is maybe something that we'll do later, but it looks like our ductwork is coming a little bit through the roof.
Boom, boom, boom. Looks good. Okay.
Now we're moving on to the mechanical and large views. I'm going to jump into my mechanical and large view here, my RCP. What I'm going to go ahead and do is I'm going to go, let's go tag all.
I'm going to first choose space tags and mechanical equipment tags. We'll have a leader on those, hit apply and okay. We have our space tags, which actually I don't need the leader on the space tag.
So what I could do is select them all, right click, select all instances visible on view and uncheck leader. And let's go ahead and tag our diffusers. So on this, I'm going to go ahead and add or move host, make sure I'm getting kind of multiples.
And again, just more practice tagging, and you can come in and adjust these. We need to add the space tags because this view didn't have space tags populated. That's okay.
Sometimes it happens, especially when you create a new view, say like an enlarged view. I need to adjust this VAV tag, just this tag. So the views, the tags look a little bit smaller here, and that's just because they are on a view that is a larger scale.
Let's go ahead. I need to tag my ducks. Boom, boom.
So I just went to tag by category again, and just working through and tagging my ducks. See, in this instance, because of the scale of this view is so high, I can actually put my eight inch inside of there, the eight inch tag. There we go.
Now, one other cool thing that we can actually go ahead and do is that we have this 3D view here. We kind of tagged all this up. If you want to go back and adjust these tags, feel free to.
Maybe I want to do this with this one. It's kind of bugging me. There we go.
There we go. Looks like I missed one. Go ahead.
Oh, didn't have a leader on there. That's fine. Easy enough to put in.
There we go. And I didn't tag this guy, meaning check leader. Oops, there we go.
Make sure I get the tag that I want to adjust. There we are. Now, one of the cool things is on these 3D views, we can actually tag these views.
Now I can tag this as long as it is locked and oriented. If I go TG for tag, notice that I can place this. Now you may notice I was able to place that leader.
This leader is called a free end leader. When I hit tag to do something, I have two options here. I have attached end or free end.
Attached end kind of just gives me whatever I want. Free end will allow me to place it as I go. With the ducks themselves, I may want to just tag these as the size indicates.
And I could tag these in this 3D view. If I so desire. It's a nice easy way of sometimes giving more information.
Sometimes it's kind of tough depending on your orientation, though, I may not necessarily be able to tag these eight inch ones. Let's see, I can go ahead and do a free end. Boom, boom, boom.
It doesn't come out perfectly. But I just have to adjust it. So I'm really giving the same information and the same data, but I'm providing it in a different format that may be easier for coordination purposes or seeing how everything lines up.
But it's kind of one of these cool things is that I can tag a 3D view set like this. So I'm using that free end option. And there we go.
I've tagged that up. All right, let's take a look at our set. I think we're pretty much there.
If you want to take some time, go back, play around more with tags, get things oriented, all that kind of stuff you can. So I'm going to go ahead, let's do one last check on everything. So our mechanical cover sheet looks good.
Our mechanical plan level one looks good. Level two looks good. Our roof plan, well, you know, one of the things you want to evaluate when you look at these sheets overall is you want to make sure everything looks good.
Well, I noticed that I have this little issue down here and we'll fix that here in a second. I'm going to go to by and large views. I'm still activated in this view.
So there we go. I just double clicked around and got out of it. Mechanical details and schedules.
Great. Let's go ahead and save this here. We'll make the title block edits and then we'll go ahead and PDF it and finish it up.
See them.
