In this video we're going to be adding our phase 10 construction name to the bottom. So let's begin by opening up our logo file.

To do this we'll go to file, open, and within here let's open the file containing our logo. In this case it's the phase 10 construction logo psd file and we'll click open. With this logo we're going to look at how this will look being at the bottom of our banner.

So to do this and copy this over we can select one of the layers and holding shift we'll click on the top layer to highlight all of them. We'll then hit CTRL C on our keyboard to copy these layers and next let's go into ptc banner 2 or we'll hit CTRL V to paste our layer. Next let's move our layer outside of the artboard entirely so we can look at it outside the artboard.

We'll drag it into the right hand side and let's group it all by dragging all of the layers into the folder. We'll title this logo and hit ENTER. Next let's zoom down so that we can look at the bottom of our banner.

Currently we have our phase 10 logo as well as the phase 10 construction text file and so we want to start implementing this within the bottom. Normally I would open up the logo file and we'll select the four shapes. Rather than working with each of these shapes individually we can combine them all into one smart object.

To do this we'll right click and click convert to smart object. It's now shown as ellipse 2 which we'll rename logo and hit ENTER. Now we can move our logo onto the bottom and we can move the phase 10 construction text to the bottom as well.

However if we go to the top to our options bar we'll see that we still don't have auto select selected so we'll reselect this allowing us to click on an item to select it and then we'll click and drag our text over. We have a little bit of resizing to do now so let's first start with our logo. To adjust the size of our logo we can hit CTRL T and we're just going to drag it a little bit smaller.

We'll then put it into the far left hand side and hit ENTER. This will help give us an idea of what this would look like. Next let's work with the text.

With our text selected we'll hit CTRL T and in this case we're going to expand the size of it. We'll drag it up to about here and see what this looks like. Let's now see what this text would look like white instead.

To do this we'll hit ENTER to commit this transformation and then we'll double click the text go to our fill in our options bar and we'll drag the color picker up to white and hit ok. Let's then click outside of the artboard to see what this looks like. To be honest I'm not super thrilled with how this looks.

It feels like it's a little cluttered with the logo as well as the title and two different layers of text. So in this case I'm actually going to err on the side of not making it too complicated and instead simply put the text of our company on the bottom. A lot of times it's simply trial and error and dragging different pieces in to see what you're working with and see what looks best.

If we zoom out there's already lots of different icons and pieces within this artboard and our pop-up banner so let's not overly complicate it. We'll zoom back in and in this case I'm simply going to delete the text layer by hitting the delete key with the text selected. Then I'm going to delete our logo and hit yes.

And finally we no longer need this logo grouping folder. Instead what we're going to do is simply create a text box that displays the name of the company. So let's do that.

We'll go to our horizontal type tool and we're going to create a text box from the left hand side all the way to the right. We'll type phase 10 construction and already I like the look of this more. Let's now increase the size of it.

We'll click and hit CTRL A to select all and next let's change the branding of this to match the rest of the artboard. In this case let's change the font to Chivo and see what this looks like. I think this could look good.

Let's now increase the size by double clicking the font size and we'll expand it to 130 and hit ENTER. This font is not quite doing it for me. Let's change it again and let's see what it looks like to have Nevis instead.

If we choose Nevis I like the look of this a lot more as well as I feel like if we zoom out this fits the top title well since the top title if we double click is also Nevis. Let's go back to our text below double click on this text and hit CTRL A. Let's now go up to the top to our character and paragraph panels and we can make some adjustments. We'll click on the tracking and right now it feels a little too spread out so let's change it from 180 to 0 and let's now increase the size of the font.

We'll increase it to 140 and hit ENTER and let's increase the size even a little bit more. We'll increase it to 155. and hit ENTER.

This fills it out pretty well. We can increase our tracking just a little bit more by clicking on the va and dragging it to the right until it's fit up almost the entire space. In this case we'll leave it at 40.

Finally we scroll down and zoom in. We're just going to reduce the bounding box size so that it isn't stuck up at the top. We can click on top when we see the two arrows and we'll simply reduce it down to the bottom and leave it right there.

Next let's adjust the size of this rectangle behind it. We'll click outside the layers in the layers panel and we'll select the bottom logo box. We'll then hit CTRL T to transform it and simply drag down until phase 10 construction is contained within it.

We'll hit ENTER and let's zoom out. We scroll up and click outside the layers panel. We can see the progress we've made on our banner.

Nicely done. Let's hit CTRL S on the keyboard to save our work and in the next video we'll begin working on our image for our center frame. See you there!
