Wall Street Prep’s flagship program, Financial Modeling Premium, is a comprehensive set of courses that teaches students about Financial Statement Modeling, DCF Modeling, M&A Modeling, Trading Comps Modeling, Transaction Comps Modeling, and LBO Modeling. On top of the coursework, there are also a few bonuses, such as 38 mini-courses (one to two hours each) and a “Meet Your Instructor” kick-off class. Wall Street Prep estimates that most students spend 70-90 hours on the program. There is a certification exam students can complete within two years of taking the course, and optional add-ons for 1-on-1 tutoring. Students do need a basic understanding of Accounting and Microsoft Excel to complete the program successfully.

Financial Modeling Basic is also a popular course. It’s an “abbreviated version” of the Premium package that focuses on financial statement modeling. During the course, students have access to 81 lessons with more than ten hours of recorded material. Examples of lessons include Excel shortcuts for financial modeling, how to deal with circularities in a model, how to build a “fully integrated three-statement model using established forecasting and schedule conventions,” and how to perform sensitivity and scenario analyses. During the course, which takes between 20-30 hours to complete, students will develop a three-statement model (from scratch), and learn to input historical data to project financial statements. Students still have the option to add 1-on-1 tutoring for an extra cost. They also need to know the basics of Accounting and Excel.

Wall Street Prep offers a Fixed Income Markets Certification (FIMC), a globally recognized program to prepare students for successful careers as a Fixed Income Trader on the Buy Side or Sell Side. This comprehensive, career-focused certification includes more than nine hours of video instruction designed by professionals in the field who know what Fixed Income salespeople and traders need to know.

Students can finish the course in about a month working on the course for four hours per week. In total, there are ten courses, 22 hours of material, and 5,900 alumni. The material starts with an overview of the Fixed Income Market, explains the sell-side and buy-side of investment banking, discusses fixed income products, money markets, and ends with a look at corporate bonds. For the more technically-minded, Wall Street Prep offers The Ultimate Python Certification Course so that students can learn “the world’s most in-demand programming language” with the same material and certification used by world-class financial institutions. The course will help finance professionals learn Python “from the ground up”—students don’t need coding experience to get started. The three-course program offers more than 40 hours of step-by-step videos, real-world examples, and annotated Jupyter code notebooks broken down into three main modules: Intro to Python, Intermediate Python, and Third-Party Python Libraries. The course is taught by an experienced software engineer who has “twenty years of real-world development experience” and a Ph.D. in Math. Students who complete the course, which Wall Street Prep estimates will take about a month if they work on it 12 hours per week, will receive a globally recognized, verified certificate.

The Ultimate Excel VBA Course is a comprehensive course designed to teach VBA programming language within Microsoft Excel. Ideal for students and professionals, the course doesn’t require any programming knowledge to get started. Some of the topics covered in the 197 lessons include: how to write macros, functions, and subroutines as well as how to “breeze through large data sets with ease.” Students will be able to start using VBA code right away and will see many real-world examples and exercises. A majority of courses are self-paced, which means when students purchase the course, they get immediate access to all the material and can learn as quickly as they choose. Within the self-paced courses, there are videos, exercises, and case studies to help students walk through the learning process in a step-by-step way. Bootcamps and power hours are conducted through Zoom and are as interactive as an in-person session. Students are expected to be present using a webcam, ask questions, and sometimes share their work.
