UCF Boot Camps: Find Top Courses & Training Locations

Georgia Tech's bootcamps provide students with skills-oriented training targeted to their field of interest. Students can also take advantage of career services to encourage better preparation for the future, including career coaching, mock interviews, and workshops.

UCF Bootcamps prepare students for careers in web development, data analytics, digital marketing, and UX/UI through hands-on online courses that empower students with knowledge that gets them prepared to take on the competitive environment of the tech industry.

The University of Central Florida was founded in 1963 in Orlando to provide training for the local population to take advantage of work in the then-emerging U.S. space program operating in the area. UCF enhances the Orlando-area economy by providing a high-level, technology-based education inside an experience-based learning environment with one of the largest student enrollments in the country.

UCF Bootcamp programs employ expert instructors who have at least three years of professional experience in their specific industries, which keeps the curriculum competitive and up-to-date to meet today’s market demands.

UCF’s Division of Continuing Education offers UCF Bootcamps through its partnership with Trilogy Education Services, a workforce accelerator that works with universities to help get students ready for careers in today’s competitive digital economy.

School Locations

Due to health and safety concerns related to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), UCF Bootcamps are being held through the virtual classroom experience, which is a proven, cutting-edge online format created to help students achieve their career goals.

Once in-person classes have resumed, UCF Bootcamps will offer training at both the UCF Innovative Center and the UCF Valencia West Campus in the Orlando area as well as the Seminole State College of Florida campus in nearby Sanford, FL.

What Classes Are Available?

If you are thinking about a career in technology fields such as web development, data analytics, or software engineering, consider UCF Bootcamps for training. These programs teach students the skills needed to compete in today’s digital economy, providing them with a learning experience to smooth out a clear career path and equip them with knowledge gained from hands-on experience.

For example, the UCF Coding Bootcamp prepares students for a career in web development. Students will train in full stack development tools such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap, and jQuery through this fast-paced, immersive course. This program is offered either as a part-time, 24-week course or you can take a full-time load and finish in 12 weeks.

There is also the UCF Data Analytics and Visualization Bootcamp, which is a 24-week part-time program that provides a comprehensive overview of data analytics and visualizations. Through this course, students will acquire experience with Python, Tableau, SQL, JavaScript, and Git/GitHub. They will learn how to work with NumPy, pivot tables, Matplotlib, and MySQL as well as discover machine learning and big data analytics with Hadoop. With today’s dependence on data, UCF Bootcamps focus on practical technical skills that teach participants how to analyze and solve complex data problems through an innovative online learning format.

You could decide to take the UCF Digital Marketing Bootcamp, an 18-week program that provides a comprehensive introduction to digital marketing. With this bootcamp, students will learn tools including MailChimp, HTML/CSS, CRMs (Customer Relationship Management software), Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights. Additionally, students will work on projects using digital marketing skills, learning brand and content strategy, lead generation, automation, backlinking, and conversation tracking to create and drive social media strategies.

Finally, the UCF UX/UI Bootcamp is a 24-week immersive program that teaches foundational skills related to UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) development. In this program, students are taught information architecture, persona creation, and qualitative/quantitative research practices. They also learn how to create visual prototypes and wireframes with Adobe XD, InVision, and Google Slides.

Class Formats

Classes are held using UCF Bootcamps’ virtual classroom experience, which is a proven, cutting-edge online format created to help students achieve their career goals. These virtual courses are designed with flexibility in mind so participants do not have to sacrifice existing life, work, and/or school commitments. Even though all the courses are online, they are engaging, immersive experiences with plenty of chances for students to ask questions of the instructor and connect with fellow participants. You’ll get real-time support from instructors, teaching assistants, and student success and career services teams.

Admissions Process

To apply for admission to any of UCF’s bootcamps, begin by filling out the contact form. You must fill out this form so that the school will be able to get in touch with you.

Following your submission, the school will set up an interview where you will be able to ask questions and discuss your ambitions and goals related to UCF Bootcamps’ programs. You will then be asked to apply and complete a multiple-choice and critical thinking assessment to demonstrate your skills with logic and problem-solving. No prior technical or industry experience is necessary.

After the school has confirmed your qualifications, you will be officially admitted into the bootcamp program and be able to enroll.

Once you have been accepted, the UCF Bootcamps’ admissions staff will discuss with you financial options that fit your circumstance. After your payment has been approved, you must pay a deposit and sign an agreement to secure your space in the class.

Pricing & Payment Options

UCF Bootcamps’ full-time coding program costs $12,495 with the part-time coding bootcamp ringing in at $11,495. The data analytics and visualization bootcamp and the UX/UI bootcamp both cost $11,495. The digital marketing course is $8,295.

Currently, UCF alumni are eligible for a $500 scholarship toward tuition. UCF Bootcamps also offers early registration pricing and payment plans. Reach out to an admissions advisor for more details on tuition costs and any available loans or payment plans.

Career Support Services

UCF Bootcamps support students with a career services team of experienced professionals that include a Career Director and a Profile Coach to assist with resume building, social media profile support, portfolio reviews, and mock interviews. You’ll also have access to your instructional team (with almost 4 hours of office hours per week in addition to classroom hours), a tutor network, and a peer network.
