In Computer Engineering for Good, students study the Internet of Things (IoT) and learn how to design and build a connected IoT device. Students will focus on using sensors to gather data and process it to improve functionality. This course also teaches programming syntax, coding structure, and the coding methods for the Internet of Things. This course is offered for 9-12 graders who have already completed Algebra 2.
In the Summer Program for Automation, Robotics, and Coding (SPARC), students receive a hands-on introduction to the basics of robotics, electronics, and programming the machines of the future. Students start with learning to use the micro-controllers, interface sensors, and actuators through a robotic kit provided by the course. This kit serves as the foundation for a hands-on exploration of robotics.
NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s Summer Programs are offered online and in-person on the NYU campuses in New York City. Some programs, such as SPARC and Computer Engineering for Good, are only offered in person. The coding and design programs have an online course session.
