City Desktop Training

This course introduces fundamental techniques of Adobe InDesign to new users. Students learn to create a range of print and marketing designs. They will also learn graphic design topics, including color, image resolution, design layout, typography, printing, and PDF concepts.

In this course, students who don't need to learn the whole Adobe InDesign program learn the foundations instead. Students will create stationary, flyers, and ads throughout the course as they learn to set up documents, work with images, format text, and prepare files for exporting to PDF.

In this course, Adobe InDesign users develop advanced skills in the program. Students learn Quick Apply, GREP, and Adaptive Design tools. They will also work with Creative Cloud Libraries, content collector tools, Adobe Fonts, and the Color Theme tool.

In this course, Adobe InDesign users learn the interactive features of the program. Students learn to include media elements like sound, video, and animation. They’ll also learn about adding interactive components like hyperlinks, user-triggered buttons, and movie panels into presentations.

In this course, experienced Adobe InDesign users learn to create accessible PDFs. Students will create documents that can aid people with disabilities according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0). Students will also work closely with Adobe Acrobat.

This course introduces new users to the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop. Students learn to create, edit, and apply special effects to images and text. They will also learn photo retouching, tonal correction, deep etching, image editing, color painting, and montaging.

In this course, new users who only need to learn some of Adobe Photoshop develop foundational skills to prepare images to a minimum requirement. Students learn to resize images, crop images, change brightness and contrast, and prepare images for print or the web.

In this course, Adobe Photoshop users develop advanced skills in the program. Students learn to combine different features to create, edit, and apply special effects to images and documents. They will also work with new features, including Smart Objects, Camera Raw, Blur Gallery, and Smart Sharpen.

This course introduces Adobe Photoshop users to ways to use the software for web design and marketing. Students learn the main options required for building graphics and interfaces for online use. They will also learn new features like artboards, extract assets, web exports, linked smart objects, and blur gallery enhancements.

This class introduces new Adobe Illustrator users to the fundamental skills of the program. Students learn to draw and create patterns, gradients, and vibrant effects. As Illustrator is a strong typographic tool, students will also learn to enter, import and style text to make messages stand out.
