This embroidery workshop in New York City provides an introductory look into the art of embroidery. Participants will learn the basics of using fabric, thread, and needles to create embroidered pieces, as well as the different stitches and techniques used by experienced stitchers. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a foundational knowledge of embroidery that they can use to further explore the craft.

In this one-and-a-half-hour in-person embroidery course, students of all levels will learn two basic embroidery stitches paired with two more advanced, decorative stitches, which combine to form a piece with stunning texture and details. Students will learn how to use a three inch embroidery hoop, floss, a size 24 chenille embroidery needles, a water-soluble tracing pen, and a choice of colored felt.

In this hands-on class, participants will learn the fundamental techniques of embroidery, including various stitches, pattern creation, and color coordination. Through creating a sampler, students will develop a solid foundation in embroidery, enabling them to explore their creativity and apply these skills to future projects.
