In this 18-hour class, students will take webpages to the next level by adding interactivity, animation, and logic with JavaScript and jQuery (the most popular JavaScript library that lets you do more with less code). Attendees will start with the fundamentals of JavaScript, learning variables, loops, arrays, functions, and how to apply them to elements in a webpage. Students then learn how the jQuery library can improve functionality, and how to use the many built-in jQuery plugins to add common features (such as slideshows, animated image enlargers, etc.) without having to manually build them from scratch. The class includes a free retake and a step-by-step workbook.
